Maison Bourbon has live Dixieland Jazz seven days a week ten hours a day, and is the hot spot for Bourbon Street nightlife. Featuring Jamil Shrif Sunday, Mondays, and Thursdays 7:30pm-12:15am, Fridays and Saturdays 8:30pm-1:15am. George Finola and his chosen few Tuesdays and Wednesdays 7:30pm-12:15am. Players New Orleans Jazz Band Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays 2:30pm-7:15pm, Fridays and Saturdays 3:30pm-8:30pm.

Cat's Meow is a wildly-uninhibited karaoke bar where drunk patrons take the stage and light up the scene. Friends often "perform" in groups and the crowd sings along and dances. Upstairs, it's a totally different scene.

Fritzel's is the home of traditional jazz in the "Vieux Carre" and features the finest jazz to be heard in the "Crescent City".

On the corner of Bourbon and St. Peter it is one of the most bizarre places to be to enjoy New Orleans rhythm and blues and good times. The Krazy Korner is a place where many of the recording artist of the 50's and 60's would come into visit while in New Orleans. It's known as a fun place to be and the best place on Bourbon Street to enjoy rhythm and blues.

New Orleans was ready for Mardi Gras just six months after Hurricane Katrina hit.

The storm spared the city's French Quarter and Garden District and major attractions such as the National D-Day Museum, Harrah's casino and Cafe du Monde have reopened.

The New Orleans Aquarium is now open.
